Memorandum Submitted to Sunsari CDO on Citizenship Issue

Sunsari, Jan 6 — A memorandum was submitted to the Chief District Officer (CDO) in Sunsari today, raising concern over the ongoing difficulties in obtaining citizenship through the mother’s name.

Even though the related regulation has already been passed, locals say its implementation is still not effective in practice. Many eligible individuals are reportedly facing delays and rejection while applying for citizenship.

Through the memorandum, the concerned group urged the district administration to take the issue seriously and ensure the law is properly implemented without unnecessary obstacles.
